Evidence of Outcomes

The Personal Power Programme uses the theoretical CBT approach to human problems, which is that situations and thoughts influence feelings.

The I.C.E.berg Change Chart is used during the first and final sessions to gather quantitative data. It is an evidence based, visual tool that measures change through scoring and mapping.

The I.C.E.berg Change Chart is a holistic tool that explores six areas of the child’s life. They are asked tentative questions about each section so that information can be gathered through collaborative discussion, in order to determine an accurate score. Scoring is modelled on the six levels of change recognised in CBT.

  1. Physical health and Self-care
  2. Emotional well-being
  3. Relationships
  4. Safety
  5. Education and dreams
  6. Self-esteem and Identity

  1. Not ready for help
  2. Accepting help
  3. Trying
  4. Learning
  5. Re-building
  6. Independence and Empowerment
